W: A. Burnett (5-3)
L: J. Santana (8-4)
NEW YORK -- Johan Santana was way off track in the Subway Series.
Derek Jeter and the New York Yankees hammered Santana in the worst start of his career, routing the Mets 15-0 on Sunday for the biggest interleague blowout between the Big Apple rivals."Today was a terrible day and that's about it," Santana said. "I didn't locate my fastball today the way it's supposed to be located."Fast Facts
• The most lopsided win for the Yankees in their rivalry with the Mets got them the series win as Johan Santana allowed a career-high nine runs (lefties went 3-for-5 against him and are 9-for-their-last-20 against him).
• Derek Jeter was 4-for-4 in his 31st career game with four or more hits. He reached base safely in his 50th straight interleague game.
• A.J. Burnett won for the third time in four starts. Hideki Matsui and Robinson Cano homered, the 32nd straight game there has been a home run at Yankee Stadium.
• The Mets have lost four of five. It was the second-biggest interleague shutout (Athletics 16-0 over Giants in 2005), the second-worst shutout loss in Mets history (16-0 vs Braves in 1999) and the Yankees' biggest shutout win since beating the Blue Jays, 15-0 in 1977.
